AN ACT TO RESTORE THE RIGHT OF SUFFRAGE TO ROBERT E. BANKS OF MARSHALL COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The right of suffrage is hereby fully and completely restored to Robert E. Banks of Marshall County, Mississippi, who was disqualified as an elector as a result of his conviction of robbery in Marshall County, Mississippi, in 1999, to serve five (5) years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections. He was discharged from incarceration on August 12, 1999, and completed probation and was discharged on August 12, 2002. The Legislature has been reliably informed that he is now conducting himself as a law-abiding and honorable citizen in a good and lawful manner.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
