AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF BOLIVAR COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO ENTER INTO CERTAIN ROAD IMPROVEMENT CONTRACTS REGARDLESS OF WHETHER THE CONTRACTS MAY EXTEND BEYOND 30 DAYS FROM THE TERMINATION AND END OF THE TERM OF OFFICE OF THE MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS AWARDING THE CONTRACTS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. (1) The Board of Supervisors of Bolivar County, Mississippi, is authorized, in its discretion, to receive competitive bids and enter into construction contracts for the following projects:
(a) Bridge Replacement on Hiter Road over Big Bradford Bayou-Project No. LSBP 6(12);
(b) Bridge Replacement on Murphree Road over Hushpukena River-Project No. LSBP 6(14);
(c) Bridge Replacement on Sunrise Drive over Lead Bayou-Project No. LSBP 6(15); and
(d) Crosby Road Expansion-Project No. SAP 6(48).
(2) The Board of Supervisors of Bolivar County, Mississippi, is authorized, in its discretion, to receive competitive bids and enter into construction contracts necessary to reopen the following bridges that were closed on or about February 2, 2015, after the county's annual bridge inspection:

(3) The Board of Supervisors of Bolivar County may enter into contracts as authorized in this section for any length of time as may be determined by the board of supervisors regardless of whether the contracts may extend beyond thirty (30) days from the termination and end of the term of office of the members of the board of supervisors awarding the contracts.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
