AN ACT TO REQUIRE THE SECRETARY OF STATE TO ESTABLISH A REGISTRY OF PRIVATE ENTITIES THAT ARE EMPLOYEES OF A GOVERNMENTAL ENTITY UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF TITLE 11, CHAPTER 46, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972; TO REQUIRE PRIVATE ENTITIES THAT ARE EMPLOYEES OF A GOVERNMENTAL ENTITY UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF TITLE 11, CHAPTER 46, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972 TO REGISTER WITH THE SECRETARY OF STATE; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. (1) The Secretary of State shall create a publicly accessible registry of private entities that are employees of a governmental entity under the provisions of this chapter.
(2) Any private entities that are employees of a governmental entity under the provisions of this chapter shall register with the Secretary of State.
SECTION 2. Section 1 of this act shall be codified within Title 11, Chapter 46, Mississippi Code of 1972.
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2024.
