AN ACT TO DESIGNATE A CERTAIN SEGMENT OF U.S. INTERSTATE 59 AS THE "MISSISSIPPI GOLD STAR MEMORIAL HIGHWAY"; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. (1) That segment of U.S. Interstate 59 beginning at Exit 5 in the City of Picayune and extending northerly to the southern corporate limits of the City of Hattiesburg shall be known and designated as the "Mississippi Gold Star Memorial Highway."
(2) The Mississippi Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain appropriate signs along and approaching the highway.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2011.
