Senate Bill 2215

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FROM THE STATE BP SETTLEMENT FUND TO NOXUBEE COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, FOR THE PURPOSE OF PAYING THE COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH TRANSPORTATION AND INFRASTRUCTURE AND OTHER CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS IN SAID COUNTY, FOR FISCAL YEAR 2020.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The following sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State BP Settlement Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the Board of Supervisors of Noxubee County, Mississippi, for the purpose of paying the costs associated with the following transportation, infrastructure and other capital improvements located in said county, for fiscal year beginning July 1, 2019, and ending

June 30, 2020.................................... $16,513,696.00

Noxubee County E911 Equipment Upgrade....... $   559,317.00

Noxubee County Courthouse HVAC Upgrades..... $   700,000.00

Deerbrook Road Improvements................. $ 1,240,000.00

Industrial Park Purchase and Infrastructure. $ 1,000,000.00

Water System Improvements................... $10,275,000.00

Noxubee County Library Roof Replacement..... $   200,000.00

New Construction of E911 Office Building.... $ 2,359,379.00

Noxubee County Sidewalk Project............. $   180,000.00

TOTAL....................................... $16,513,696.00

SECTION 2.  The expenditure of the funds appropriated by this act shall be under the direction of the Governor and shall be paid by the State Treasurer out of any money in the proper fund or funds as set forth in this act, upon warrants issued by the State Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, officer or officers in the manner provided by law.

     SECTION 3.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2019.
