A RESOLUTION TO AMEND HOUSE RULES TO CREATE NEW HOUSE RULE 77.1 TO REQUIRE DISCUSSION OF ALL HOUSE AND SENATE BILLS THAT ARE REFERRED TO ANY HOUSE COMMITTEE OR SUBCOMMITTEE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That a new House Rule 77.1 is created to read as follows:
77.1 Every House or Senate bill or resolution referred to a committee or subcommittee shall be brought up by the Chairperson, Vice Chairperson or person designated by the Chairperson or Vice Chairperson and discussed by the committee to which it was referred.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this amendment to create House Rule 77.1 as contained in this resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption of this resolution by the House of Representatives.
