A RESOLUTION TO AMEND HOUSE RULE 74 OF THE 2016-2020 RULES OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES TO AUTHORIZE QUESTIONS OF PRIVILEGE; TO PROVIDE THAT NO MEMBER SHALL SPEAK MORE THAN TEN MINUTES ON ANY QUESTION OF PRIVILEGE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That Rule 74 of the 2016-2020 Rules of the House of Representatives is amended as follows:
74. (1) Questions
of privilege shall * * * be:
First, those affecting the rights of the House collectively, its safety, dignity and the integrity of its proceedings.
Second, the rights, reputation and conduct of members individually in their representative capacity only.
(2) No member shall speak more than ten (10) minutes on any question of privilege.
