House Resolution 52
A RESOLUTION COMMENDING SAYVEON BUMPERS AND AMIYANIQUE WATTS OF QUITMAN UPPER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL FOR WINNING THE MISSISSIPPI STATE SEAL CONTEST.
WHEREAS, Sayveon Bumpers and Amiyanique Watts of Quitman Upper Elementary School won the Mississippi State Seal Contest by designing beautiful artistic versions of the Mississippi State Seal; and
WHEREAS, the contest is sponsored each year by the Mississippi Arts Commission, and the winning students embellished the seals with materials native to Mississippi; and
WHEREAS, Quitman Upper Elementary School and the surrounding community is very proud of these two young talented students, who have displayed hard work and attention to detail in creating such remarkable seals; and
WHEREAS, Judge Tobey Bartee is displaying these works of art in his courtroom at the Clarke County Courthouse; and
WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives to commend excellence displayed by the youth of our state, who are its future:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend Sayveon Bumpers and Amiyanique Watts of Quitman Upper Elementary School for winning the Mississippi State Seal Contest, and express our sincere wishes for continued success in all their future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to Quitman Upper Elementary School, Sayveon Bumpers, Amiyanique Watts and to the members of the Capitol Press Corps.
