A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE NESHOBA CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL VARSITY CHEERLEADERS ON CAPTURING THE 2014 STATE 5A-6A TITLE.

     WHEREAS, the impressive Neshoba Central High School Varsity Cheerleaders captured the 5A-6A State Championship title on December 13, 2014, and added this accomplishment to a list, with its other state championship titles, including "Back-to-Back Champions"; and

     WHEREAS, the Neshoba Central High School team has won five other State Championship cheerleading titles in years 2013, 2011, 2010, 1999 and 1989; and

     WHEREAS, for their 2014 win, the team competed and triumphed  against seven other schools in the 5A-6A division; and

     WHEREAS, schools from all over the state participate in this event each year, with each squad getting two minutes and 30 seconds to perform their unique routines; and

     WHEREAS, superbly coached by Melonie Moore-Washington, the ladies of this team put in numerous hours of tedious work in preparation for the state competition; and

     WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives to commend the hard work and dedication of our youth, such as the ladies on this team:

     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we hereby commend the Neshoba Central High School Varsity Cheerleaders upon winning the 2014 5A-6A Championship title.

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to the Neshoba Central Cheerleaders, their coach, Melonie Moore-Washington and to the members of the Capitol Press Corps.
