A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING PRESLEY SEAL OF POPLARVILLE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN POPLARVILLE, MISSISSIPPI, FOR BEING NAMED AS AN INDUCTEE OF THE CURRICULUM ASSOCIATES 2023 CLASS OF EXTRAORDINARY EDUCATORS.
WHEREAS, Curriculum Associates created the Extraordinary Educators program to celebrate and connect Best in Class teachers from across the nation, and Presley Seal was named as an inductee of the 2023 Class of Extraordinary Educators, as she personifies the ideals that Curriculum Associates set forth with the program; and
WHEREAS, the 2023 Class of Extraordinary Educators includes an elite group of 30 K-8 educators from across the country who illustrate growth and achievement via formal assessments, demonstrate classroom innovation and engagement practices for students, are evangelists for high standards and student achievement, and exhibit best-in-class use of i-Ready and/or Ready instructional resources designed by Curriculum Associates in their classroom; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Seal earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education from the University of Southern Mississippi and has earned endorsements in reading and social studies; and
WHEREAS, as a first-grade teacher at Poplarville Lower Elementary School, Ms. Seal strives to provide an engaging, supportive and exciting classroom culture for her students; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Seal recognizes data as a core tool of her effective instruction and utilizes consistent data to monitor student progress, successfully differentiate student instruction and better meet the needs of each of her students; and
WHEREAS, as a result of being inducted into the 2023 Class of Extraordinary Educators, Ms. Presley Seal has received recognition locally and nationally, gained access to a network of peers from around the country, earned professional development opportunities, and will have the opportunity to attend the Extraordinary Educators Leadership Summit; and
WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives to recognize and commend excellence in the accomplishments and remarkable service of educators of Ms. Presley Seal's exceptional caliber, who have tirelessly and selflessly devoted their lives to imparting light and knowledge into the bright scholars of this state:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend and congratulate Presley Seal of Poplarville Elementary School in Poplarville, Mississippi, for being named as an inductee of the Curriculum Associates 2023 Class of Extraordinary Educators and extend sincerest wishes for continued success in all her future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to Presley Seal and to the members of the Capitol Press Corps.
