House Bill 980

AN ACT TO PROVIDE THE MINIMUM AMOUNT OF COMPENSATION THAT CERTAIN COMMISSIONERS OF WATER AND SEWER DISTRICTS SHALL BE PAID; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The board of commissioners of any water and sewer district created under the authority granted in Chapter 50, Laws of 1964 First Extraordinary Session, Mississippi Code of 1972, shall be compensated at a rate of at least Eighty-four Dollars ($84.00) for their services at each meeting of the board of commissioners. The amount authorized in this section shall be in addition to any monies paid to the members of the board for reimbursement for all expenses incurred in the discharge of their official duties.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
