House Bill 812
AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 55-24-11, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO DELETE THE REQUIREMENT THAT THE MISSISSIPPI COAST COLISEUM COMMISSION SUBMIT ITS BUDGET AND RECEIVE AN APPROPRIATION IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE STATE BUDGET LAW APPLICABLE TO SPECIAL FUND AGENCIES; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. Section 55-24-11, Mississippi Code of 1972, is amended as follows:
55-24-11. * * *
The Coliseum Commission is authorized to employ a director and such other employees as are necessary to perform and carry out the duties of the commission.
The commissioners and
director are public officers within the meaning and intent of Section 97-11-19 * * *.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2013.
