House Bill 315

AN ACT TO REQUIRE THE MISSISSIPPI TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION TO HAVE THE MISSISSIPPI DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION INSTALL, OPERATE, MAINTAIN, CONTROL AND HAVE FULL JURISDICTION OVER A FOUR-WAY STOP INTERSECTION AT THE INTERSECTION OF MISSISSIPPI HIGHWAY 21 AND RINGGOLD ROAD IN SCOTT COUNTY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The Mississippi Transportation Commission, at state expense, shall have the Department of Transportation install, operate, maintain, control, and have full jurisdiction over, a four-way stop intersection, that may include stop signs or traffic signal lights, at the intersection of Mississippi Highway 21 and Ringgold Road in Scott County.  The signs or signals shall be under the jurisdiction of the Mississippi Transportation Commission for construction and maintenance and, together with the highways designated in Sections 65-3-3 and 65-3-5, and all other laws adding links to the state designated highway system, are declared to be part of the State Highway System of Mississippi.  SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2013.
