AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF HOLMES COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE FUNDS TO THE HOLMES COUNTY LONG-TERM RECOVERY COMMITTEE; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. (1) The Board of Supervisors of Holmes County, Mississippi, in its discretion, is authorized to contribute an amount not to exceed Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($2,500.00) annually, out of any available funds of the county, to the Holmes County Long-Term Recovery Committee, which is a (501)(C)(3) nonprofit community-supported organization that is dedicated to assisting the residents of Holmes County after a natural disaster. (2) This section shall be repealed from and after July
1, 2027.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
