AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF TUNICA COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE FUNDS TO THE AARON E. HENRY COMMUNITY HEALTH SERVICES CENTER, INC., FOR THE PURPOSE OF OPERATING AND MAINTAINING A COMMUNITY HEALTH CARE FACILITY IN TUNICA COUNTY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The Board of Supervisors of Tunica County, Mississippi, may, in its discretion, contribute from any available county fund, an amount not to exceed an amount equal to the avails of point four (.4) mills during fiscal years 2017, 2018 and 2019 to Aaron E. Henry Community Health Services Center, Inc., a Mississippi corporation.

     The funds provided to Aaron E. Henry Community Health Services Center, Inc., pursuant to this section, shall be used to sustain the accessibility of comprehensive and primary health care and to promote economic development within Tunica County, Mississippi, including, but not limited to, providing accessible transportation to patients, instituting workforce and economic development programs, focusing on preventive health care, and implementing other needed community support services.

     SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
