AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF HOLMES COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE FUNDS TO THE DURANT FOUNDATION; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. (1) The Board of Supervisors of Holmes County, Mississippi, in its discretion, is authorized to contribute annually an amount not to exceed Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15,000.00), out of any available funds of the county, to the Durant Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization that promotes community development and enhancement through community revitalization and cleanup, which includes cleanup of blighted properties within the county.

(2) This section shall be repealed from and after July 1, 2026.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
