House Bill 1748

AN ACT TO RESTORE THE RIGHT OF SUFFRAGE TO STANLEY LOVE OF TUNICA COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The right of suffrage is hereby fully and completely restored to Stanley Love of Tunica County, Mississippi, who was disqualified as an elector as a result of his conviction for the crime of Grand Larceny, three (3) counts, in Tunica County, Mississippi, and sentenced to serve a term of one (1) year to complete the RID Program on each charge.  Charges ran concurrently. 

     Stanley Love completed the RID Program and was released to four (4) years probation on January 5, 1999.  The Mississippi Department of Corrections discharged him on December 5, 2003.  The Legislature is informed that he has since conducted himself as a law-abiding and honorable citizen in a good and lawful manner.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
