AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS TO HOME OF GRACE, THE MARY C. O'KEEFE CULTURAL CENTER OF ARTS AND EDUCATION, PASCAGOULA RIVER AUDUBON CENTER, UNITED WAY FOR JACKSON AND GEORGE COUNTIES AND LIGHTHOUSE ACADEMY OF DYSLEXIA; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. (1) The Board of Supervisors of Jackson County, Mississippi, in its discretion, is authorized to contribute funds annually to the following organizations in amounts not to exceed the following:
Home of Grace......................................$25,000.00
Management and Operations for the Mary C. O'Keefe Cultural Center of Arts and Education ...................................................$20,000.00
Pascagoula River Audubon Center....................$10,000.00
United Way for Jackson and George Counties.........$10,000.00
Lighthouse Academy of Dyslexia.....................$10,000.00
(2) This section shall be repealed from and after July 1, 2028.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
