AN ACT TO RESTORE THE RIGHT OF SUFFRAGE TO CASSANDRA M. JAMISON, OF TUNICA COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The right of suffrage is hereby fully and completely restored to Cassandra M. Jamison, of Tunica County, Mississippi, who was disqualified as an elector as a result of her conviction for the crime of embezzlement, on September 12, 1996, for which she was sentenced to two (2) years probation. She was discharged from her probation in 1998. On June 1, 2006, she was convicted for the crime of worthless checks in Tate County, for which she was sentenced to three (3) years probation.
She completed all terms and conditions of her sentence and was discharged on September 14, 2009. The Legislature is informed that she has since conducted herself as a law-abiding and honorable citizen in a good and lawful manner.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
