House Bill 1530
AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF TUNICA COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE TUNICA COUNTY MUSEUM, INC., FOR THE PURPOSE OF OPERATING AND MAINTAINING A PUBLIC MUSEUM IN THE COUNTY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. (1) The Board of Supervisors of Tunica County, Mississippi, is authorized, in its discretion, to contribute, from any available county funds, an amount not to exceed an amount equal to the avails of one and one-half (1 1/2) mills each year for calendar years 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 to the Tunica County Museum, Inc., a Mississippi not-for-profit corporation.
(2) The funds provided to the Tunica County Museum, Inc., pursuant to this section, shall be used for the operation and maintenance of a public museum in Tunica County, Mississippi, including, but not limited to, the acquisition of land, and operation and maintenance of a museum facility and related exhibits in the facility.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after June 1, 2012.
