House Bill 1375
AN ACT TO PROHIBIT THE ISSUANCE OF A SEARCH WARRANT FOR ELECTRONICALLY STORED INFORMATION RELATING TO MENSTRUAL HEALTH DATA; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. A search warrant may not be issued for the search and seizure of menstrual health data stored on a computer, computer network or other device containing electronic or digital information. For the purposes of this section, the term "menstrual health data" means information, recorded in any form or medium, created or received by an entity which relates to or is used to determine, predict or estimate the past, present or future menstrual health or menstrual status of an individual.
SECTION 2. Section 1 of this act shall be codified as a new section in Chapter 1, Title 99, Mississippi Code of 1972.
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2024.
