House Bill 1268
AN ACT TO REQUIRE NURSING FACILITIES TO HAVE AT LEAST ONE REGISTERED NURSE AND THREE LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSES ON THE FULL-TIME STAFF OF THE FACILITY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The State Board of Health shall adopt rules and regulations that require nursing facilities licensed under Section 43-11-1 et seq. to have at least one (1) registered nurse and three (3) licensed practical nurses on the full-time staff of the facility.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2011.
