Summary
An Act To Amend Chapter 955, Local And Private Laws Of 2011, As Amended By Chapter 918, Local And Private Laws Of 2014, To Extend The Repeal Date On The Law That Authorizes The City Of Southaven, Mississippi, To Impose A Tax Upon The Gross Proceeds Of Sales Of Beverages And Prepared Food At Restaurants Within The City; To Require That An Election Shall Be Held On June 6, 2017, On The Question Of Continuing The Tax; To Provide That If Sixty Percent Of The Qualified Electors Voting At The Election Do Not Vote In Favor Of Continuing The Tax, The Tax Shall Be Discontinued; And For Related Purposes.
