Summary

An Act To Authorize Certain Municipalities To Create Local Improvement Taxing Districts; To Authorize The Levy Of An Ad Valorem Tax Of Up To Six Mills On Certain Real Property Located In Such Taxing Districts; To Provide For The Duties And Powers Of Such Taxing Districts; To Require The Dissolution Of Such Taxing Districts Under Certain Circumstances; To Specify The Use For The Proceeds Of The Special Tax; To Allow Such Districts To Levy Less Than The Maximum Allowable Tax Levy; To Authorize The Issuance Of Bonds; To Provide That Bonds Issued Shall Be Payable Out Of The Special Tax; To Allow The Inclusion Of Covenants For Issuing Bonds; To Authorize The Delegation Of Certain Authority Under This Act; To Allow The Acceptance Of Contributions; To Provide That Bonds Issued Under This Act Shall Be Legal Investments; To Exempt Bonds And Income From Taxation By The State; And For Related Purposes.
