An Act To Create A Special Fund In The State Treasury To Be Designated As The Law Enforcement Officer Bulletproof Vest Grant Fund; To Provide That The Expenditure Of Money Deposited In The Fund Shall Be Under The Direction Of The Department Of Public Safety; To Provide That Money In The Fund Shall Be Made Available To Local Law Enforcement Agencies By The Department Of Public Safety To Be Used As A Match For Federal Grant Funds To Purchase Bulletproof Vests For Law Enforcement Officers; To Provide That Only Law Enforcement Agencies Having A Bulletproof Vest Policy For Law Enforcement Officers Employed By The Agency Are Eligible To Receive Money From The Fund; Authorize The Issuance Of State General Obligation Bonds To Provide Funds For The Law Enforcement Officer Bulletproof Vest Grant Fund; And For Related Purposes.
