Summary

An Act To Amend Section 23-15-313, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Prohibit Any Person Who Violates The Public's Trust, Who Has Been Convicted Of A Criminal Violation Of The Mississippi Election Code, Who Has Been Convicted Of An Election Crime Contained In Chapter 13, Title 97, Mississippi Code Of 1972, Or Who Has Been Removed From An Elected Or Appointed Public Office For Any Reason, From Serving On A Municipal Executive Committee; To Provide That Any Person Who Violates This Prohibition Shall Be Guilty Of A Felony; To Amend Section 23-15-315, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Clarify The Provisions That Require The Chairman Of The County Executive Committee To Publish Notice Of His Call For A Meeting Of The County Executive Committee; To Amend Section 23-15-263, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide That A Member Of The County Executive Committee Who Is Found To Have Violated The Public's Trust, To Have Been Convicted Of A Criminal Violation Of The Mississippi Election Code, To Have Been Convicted Of An Election Crime Contained In Chapter 13, Title 97, Mississippi Code Of 1972, Or To Have Been Removed From An Elected Or Appointed Public Office For Any Reason, Shall Be Disqualified From Serving On Any County Executive Committee; To Amend Section 23-15-1053, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Prohibit A Person Who Has Been Found To Have Violated The Public's Trust, Who Has Been Convicted Of A Criminal Violation Of The Mississippi Election Code, Who Has Been Convicted Of An Election Crime Contained In Chapter 13, Title 97, Mississippi Code Of 1972, Or Who Has Been Removed From An Elected Or Appointed Public Office For Any Reason, From Serving On A State Or County Executive Committee; To Provide Penalties For Serving On A County Or State Executive Committee In Violation Of The Provisions Of This Act; To Amend Section 23-15-1054, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Prohibit A Person Who Has Violated The Public's Trust, Who Has Been Convicted Of A Criminal Violation Of The Mississippi Election Code, Who Has Been Convicted Of An Election Crime Contained In Chapter 13, Title 97, Mississippi Code Of 1972, Or Who Has Been Removed From An Elected Or Appointed Public Office For Any Reason From Serving On A Temporary County Executive Committee; And For Related Purposes.
