Summary

An Act To Provide That The State Board Of Education And The State Department Of Education Shall Take No Further Action To Implement Any Common Core Standards Developed By The Common Core State Standards Initiative; To Direct The State Superintendent Of Education To Take Immediate Action To Withdraw From The Partnership For Assessment Of Readiness For College And Careers (p.a.r.c.c.); To Authorize And Direct The Governor To Establish A Curriculum Content Standards Advisory Council And Subcommittees To Review The Educational Standards In Effect In Mississippi; To Prohibit The State Board And State Department Of Education From Expending Certain Federal Funds To Track Students Beyond Their K-12 Education And To Distribute Certain Student Identifiable Information; And For Related Purposes.
