Summary

An Act To Amend Sections 73-15-19 And 73-15-21, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Require Applicants For Licensure As A Registered Nurse Or Licensed Practical Nurse To Undergo A Fingerprint-based Criminal History Check; To Amend Section 73-15-17, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Authorize The Board Of Nursing, Upon Reasonable Suspicion That A Licensee Has Violated Any Statutory Ground For Denial Of Licensure Or Is Guilty Of Any Of Certain Offenses, To Require The Licensee To Undergo A Fingerprint-based Criminal History Records Check In The Same Manner As Required For Applicants For Licensure; And For Related Purposes.
