Summary

An Act To Amend Section 27-65-241, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Authorize The Governing Authorities Of Any Municipality That Levies The Special Sales Tax Authorized Under This Section To Incur Debt For The Purpose Of Paying The Costs Of Road And Street Repair, Reconstruction And Resurfacing Projects Based On Traffic Patterns, Need And Usage, And To Pay The Costs Of Water, Sewer And Drainage Projects Authorized By This Section; To Exempt General Obligation Bonds Issued For Such Projects From Municipal Debt Limitations; To Extend The Repeal Date On This Section From July 1, 2032, To July 1, 2035; To Amend Section 21-33-303, Mississippi Code Of 1972, In Conformity To The Provisions Of This Act; And For Related Purposes.
