Summary

An Act To Authorize Taxpayers To Establish First-time Homebuyer Savings Accounts; To Define Certain Terms; To Provide That The Certain Amounts Contributed To A First-time Homebuyer Savings Account And Interest And Other Income Earned On An Account And Distributions From Such An Account That Are Used To Pay Eligible Costs Related To The Purchase Of A Single-family Residence Shall Be Excluded From The Gross Income Of The Account Holder For State Income Tax Purposes; To Amend Section 27-7-15, Mississippi Code Of 1972, In Conformity Thereto; And For Related Purposes.
