Summary

An Act To Amend Section 37-17-6, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Require The State Department Of Education To Provide Specific Findings Of Accreditation Violations, Financial Mismanagement Or Academic Deficiencies In Order For The Governor To Declare An Emergency Resulting In A State Takeover Of The District, To Define The Authority Of A State Conservator Appointed By The State Board Of Education To Administer A School District In State Takeover Status, And To Provide A Time Limitation For The Authority Of Such School District Conservator And Specific Exit Criteria Unless The Governor Continues The State Takeover; And For Related Purposes.
