Summary
An Act To Amend Section 73-13-45, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Increase From Less Than $75,000.00 To Less Than $100,000.00 Public Works Expenditures That Are Exempt From The Provision That Prohibits The Award Of A Contract For Construction Of A Public Work By The State And Its Political Subdivisions Unless The Plans, Specifications And Estimates Have Been Prepared By A Registered Professional Engineer Or Architect; To Remove The Provision That Exempts Municipalities From The Prohibition If The Public Work Is Not Financed In Whole Or In Part Through The Issuance Of Bonds; To Provide That Professional Engineers Or Architects May Submit Prices For Services Prior To Be Selected To Perform Any Work; And For Related Purposes.
