Summary

An Act Relating To The Health Care Facilities Certificate Of Need Law; To Amend Section 41-7-173, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide Definitions For Clinical And Nonclinical Expenditures And To Revise The Minimum Capital Expenditures Requiring A Health Care Certificate Of Need And To Provide For An Annual Cost Index Adjustment For Such Minimum Capital Expenditures; To Amend Section 41-7-191, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Include Computerized Tomography (ct)-pet Services In Those New Health Services Requiring Certificate Of Need Review And To Clarify That The Conversion Of Mobile Services To Fixed Site Services Requires A Certificate Of Need; To Amend Section 41-7-205, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide That A Request For A Nonclinical Expenditure By A Health Care Facility Not Exceeding The Capital Expenditure Minimum Shall Be Authorized For Expedited Review; And For Related Purposes.
