Summary
An Act To Reenact Sections 73-6-1 Through 73-6-33, Mississippi Code Of 1972, Which Create And Empower The State Board Of Chiropractic Examiners; To Amend Section 73-6-1, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Clarify The Definition Of The Practice Of Chiropractic And Authorized Chiropractic Adjustment Or Manipulation; To Amend Section 73-6-3, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide For The Appointment Of Members Of The State Board Of Chiropractic Examiners; To Amend Section 73-6-5, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide For Meetings Of The Board And To Clarify The Authorized Services That May Be Provided By Chiropractic Assistants And To Prescribe Training Courses For Such Assistants; To Amend Section 73-6-13, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Delete The Authority For Applicants For Licensure By Persons Who Are Not Citizens Of The United States And To Delete The Authority For Reciprocity Licensure Of Such Individuals And To Clarify The Qualifications For Reciprocity Licensure; To Codify Section 73-6-14, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Authorize The State Board Of Chiropractic Examiners To Establish A Preceptorship And Extern Program, To Authorize The Board To Establish A Temporary License Program For Nonresident Chiropractors Traveling With Entities From Other States And To Authorize The Board To Issue Emergency Licenses For A Limited Time Period; To Amend Section 73-6-17, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Clarify Continuing Education Requirements For Chiropractors; To Amend Section 73-6-19, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Clarify The Grounds For Disciplinary Action Against Licensees; To Amend Section 73-6-25, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Delete Certain Restrictions On Telephone Directory Listing Of Licensees; To Amend Section 73-6-33, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Extend The Automatic Repealer On Those Statutes Which Create And Empower The State Board Of Chiropractic Examiners; To Amend Section 73-6-34, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Clarify Qualifications For Chiropractors Performing Insurance Claims Reviews; And For Related Purposes.
