Summary

An Act Require Local School Boards To Provide Mental Health First Aid Training That Is Evidence Based And Approved By The Department Of Mental Health To All Licensed And Nonlicensed Instructional Personnel And To Licensed Administrators Before The Beginning Of The 2025-2026 School Year; To Require School Boards To Develop And Adopt A Policy Relating To Frequency Of The Required Training; To Require The Department Of Mental Health To Provide Participants With A Certificate Of Completion, Which May Be Used To Satisfy The Training Requirement; To Bring Forward Sections 37-7-301 And 37-7-343, Mississippi Code Of 1972, For Purposes Of Possible Amendments; And For Related Purposes.
