Summary
An Act To Create The Mississippi High School Dropout Prevention Act Of 2011; To Require The State Department Of Education To Work With School Districts That Have The Lowest High School Graduation Rates; To Require The Department To Develop Methods Of Targeted Intervention For Low Performing School Districts; To Provide That Children Of A Certain Age May Not Withdraw From School Unless Certain Conditions Are Met; To Bring Forward Section 37-13-80, Mississippi Code Of 1972, Which Creates The Office Of Dropout Prevention Within The State Department Of Education, For The Purposes Of Possible Amendment; To Bring Forward Section 37-13-91, Mississippi Code Of 1972, Which Is The Mississippi Compulsory School Attendance Law, For Purposes Of Possible Amendment; And For Related Purposes.
