Summary

An Act To Amend Section 47-7-3, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide An Inmate, Who Has Been Convicted Of Committing A Nonviolent Offense And Who Has Received A Life Sentence Or A Sentence Of At Least 40, Years An Opportunity To Petition His Or Her Sentencing Court For Parole After Serving 10 Years Of That Sentence; To Amend Sections 99-19-81 And 99-19-83, Mississippi Code Of 1972, In Conformity To The Preceding Section; And For Related Purposes.
