Summary

An Act To Amend Section 31-7-9, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Authorize The Office Of Purchasing, Travel And Fleet Management To Establish And Charge Reasonable Fees On A Nondiscriminatory Basis For The Furnishing To Bidders Of Copies Of Bids, Specifications And Other Documents And Issued By The Office; To Direct The Office To Collect An Administration Fee On All Procurement Transactions Associated With The State Contracts Issued By The Office; To Require Vendors To Pay The Office Based On Sales To All State Agencies And Governing Authorities From State Contracts; To Provide That The Transaction Fee Shall Be A Percentage Assessed On Each Procurement Transaction From State Contracts; To Provide That The Office Shall Receive All Rebates From State Contracts Established By The Office; To Provide That All Fees And Rebates Collected By The Office Shall Be Deposited Into The Office Of Purchasing, Travel And Fleet Management Revolving Fund, A Special Fund That Is Created In The State Treasury; To Amend Section 31-7-23, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Conform To The Preceding Provisions; And For Related Purposes.
