An Act To Establish The Mississippi Transit Corporation; To Provide That The Corporation Shall Provide Safe, Reliable And Cost-effective Bus, Rail And Light Rail Transit Services For The State; To Provide The Composition Of The Board Of Directors Of The Corporation; To Provide The Powers And Duties Of The Board Of Directors Of Such Corporation; To Create The Mississippi Transit Corporation Study Committee; To Provide That The Committee Shall Develop Recommendations To Provide Safe, Reliable And Cost-effective Bus, Rail And Light Rail Transit Services For The State Of Mississippi, And Report To The Legislature Such Findings; To Provide That The Committee Shall Identify And Examine All Federal Revenue Received By The State And All State Funds Spent On Federal Matching That Can Allowably Be Spent, Allocated, Transferred, Granted Or Expended Directly To The Mississippi Transit Corporation For Purposes Of Providing Bus, Rail And Light Rail Transit Services For The State Of Mississippi; To Amend Section 7-7-211, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Conform To A Preceding Section; And For Related Purposes.
