An Act To Amend Section 67-1-51, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Authorize The Issuance Of Merchant District Business Establishment Permits Under The Local Option Alcoholic Beverage Control Law; To Provide That A Merchant District Business Establishment Permit May Be Issued Only To The Owner Of A Business Establishment Located In And Doing Business In A Merchant District Established By A Municipality Under The Authority Of A Local And Private Law Of The State Of Mississippi; To Provide That Such A Permit Shall Authorize The Holder To Prepare And Serve Only Complimentary By The Glass Alcoholic Beverages And Wine, Including Native Wine, At The Permit Holder's Business Establishment For Consumption On The Premises Of The Establishment; To Provide That A Municipality That Establishes A Merchant District Under The Authority Of A Local And Private Law Of The State Of Mississippi Shall Furnish The Department Of Revenue A Copy Of The Ordinance Or Resolution Providing For The Establishment Of The District; To Amend Section 27-71-5, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide The Privilege Tax Required For The Issuance Of A Merchant District Business Establishment Permit; And For Related Purposes.
