Summary
An Act To Amend Section 37-61-33, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Require The Department Of Finance And Administration Office Of Purchasing, Travel And Fleet Management To Issue Procurement Cards To Each Local School District To Be Used By Teachers For Classroom Supplies; To Require The Cards To Be Issued At The Beginning Of Each School Year; To Provide That The Cards Shall Have A Predetermined Expiration Date; To Require Teachers Who Pool Monies For Classroom Supplies To Submit The Proper Documentation To The Appropriate Authorities; To Provide For The Carrying Forward And Reallocation Of Unexpended Amounts Remaining On The Cards At The Date Of Predetermined Expiration; To Require The State Board Of Education And The Department Of Finance And Administration Office Of Purchasing, Travel And Fleet Management To Jointly Establish Rules And Regulations For The Administration Of The Procurement Cards System; To Amend Section 31-7-9, Mississippi Code Of 1972, In Conformity With The Preceding Provisions; To Amend Section 27-104-103, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Authorize The Department Of Finance And Administration To Issue Start-up Loans At The Beginning Of Each Year To Fund The Procurement System And Provide For The Repayment Of Those Loans; To Amend Sections 27-65-75 And 27-67-31, Mississippi Code Of 1972, In Conformity With The Preceding Provisions; And For Related Purposes.
