Summary

An Act To Enact The "mississippi Working Family Support Act"; To Provide A Statement Of Legislative Purpose And Intent For Its Enactment; To Increase The Supply Of Certain Working Family Support Services; To Define Terms Used In The Act; To Authorize And Direct The Department Of Human Services To Provide Certain Working Family Support Services Through The Office For Children And Youth; To Require The Office For Children And Youth To Administer The Child Care And Development Fund For Purposes Of This Act; To Establish The Minimum Criteria To Be Used By The Office In The Administration Of The Program And Selection Of Recipients Of Assistance Provided; To Require The Office To Develop And Implement A Plan To Ensure Equitable Distribution Of Child Care And Development Fund Monies; To Amend Sections 43-1-65 And 37-7-301, Mississippi Code Of 1972, In Conformity To The Preceding Provisions; And For Related Purposes.
