Summary

An Act To Amend Section 71-3-15, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide That The Mississippi Workers' Compensation Commission Shall Not Establish Or Apply Any Rule, Regulation Or Guideline For Reimbursement For Medical And Surgical Services And Supplies For The Treatment Of Work-related Injuries Or Diseases That Restricts A Medical Provider From Obtaining The Maximum Reimbursement Allowable Established By The Commission; To Provide That The Commission Shall Not Establish Or Apply Any Rate Of Reimbursement For Medical And Surgical Services And Supplies For The Treatment Of Work-related Injuries Or Diseases That Results In An Amount That Is Less Than Eighty Percent (80%) Of The Total Reimbursement For The Same Or Identical Medical Services And Supplies Provided Under The State And School Employees Health Insurance Plan; And For Related Purposes.
