An Act To Amend Sections 43-13-115, 43-13-121 And 41-86-15, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Direct The Division Of Medicaid To Cooperate With The Mississippi Health Benefit Exchange Created By This Act In The Performance Of Its Duties, And To Accept The Enrollment Of Persons Who Are Determined To Be Eligible For Medicaid Or The Children's Health Insurance Program By The Exchange; To Create The Mississippi Health Benefit Exchange Act; To State The Purpose And Intent Of The Act; To Provide Definitions For The Purposes Of The Act; To Establish The Mississippi Health Benefit Exchange As An Office Within The Department Of Insurance; To Provide The General Requirements For And Specific Duties Of The Exchange; To Authorize The Exchange To Certify Health Benefit Plans As Qualified Health Plans; To Authorize The Exchange To Charge Assessments Or User Fees To Health Carriers To Provide Funding Necessary To Support Its Operations; To Authorize The Exchange To Promulgate Regulations To Implement The Provisions Of This Act; And For Related Purposes.
