Summary

An Act To Prohibit Municipalities From Implementing Or Adopting A Sanctuary Policy For Illegal Immigrants; To Provide Certain Definitions; To Provide That If A Sanctuary Policy Is Implemented Or Adopted By A Municipality, Then The Department Of Revenue Shall Withhold Ten Percent Of The Sales Tax Revenue That Would Otherwise Be Payable To The Municipality Until Such Time The Department Receives Certain Notice That The Municipality No Longer Implements Such Policy; To Require That Each Municipality Provide Law Enforcement Officers With Written Notice To Enforce State And Federal Laws Governing Immigration; To Amend Section 27-65-75, Mississippi Code Of 1972, In Conformity Thereto; And For Related Purposes.
