Summary

An Act To Amend Section 19-25-77, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide That When A Prisoner Is Held In Custody For Contempt Of Court, The Cost Of Supporting The Person During His Or Her Incarceration May Be Charged To The Prisoner; To Provide That The Sheriff Shall Not Have To Pay The Cost Of Supporting The Person Out Of The Sheriff's Budget, But The Sheriff Shall Be Allowed The Same Compensation From The County For The Support Of Those Prisoners As Is Allowed For Keeping Other Prisoners, To Be Paid By The Board Of Supervisors From The County Treasury; And For Related Purposes.
