Summary

An Act To Amend Section 47-7-5, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Require That, When A Person Convicted Of A Felony Crime Petitions The Governor For A Pardon, The State Parole Board Shall Make Certain Determinations And Notify The Crime Victim(s) Of The Possible Pardon; To Require The Board To Submit A Written Report To The Governor, Stating Whether Or Not The Board Recommends That The Parole Be Granted; To Delete The Repeal Date Of July 1, 2012, Applying To This Section Of Law That Creates The State Parole Board; And For Related Purposes.
