Summary

An Act To Require The Mississippi Department Of Vital Records To List The Names Of Deceased Persons By County On The Department's Current Website; To Require That Information On Such Website Is Designed Solely For Use By The County Registrar, Election Commission And Circuit Clerk; To Amend Section 23-15-151, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Require The Circuit Clerk Of Each County To Prepare A Book Using Information From The Mississippi Department Of Vital Records To Record The Names Of Deceased Persons In The County; To Require The Circuit Clerk To Use Such Book To Revise Voter Registration Books And Pollbooks; To Amend Section 23-15-153, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Conform To The Preceding Section; To Bring Forward Section 41-57-2, Mississippi Code Of 1972, Which Prohibits Access To Records Of The Department Of Vital Records, For Purposes Of Amendment; And For Related Purposes.
