Summary

An Act To Amend Section 43-13-117, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Direct The Division Of Medicaid To Abolish All Managed Care Programs, Coordinated Care Programs And Coordinated Care Organization Programs Operated By The Division On The Effective Date Of This Act At The Earliest Possible Date Allowed Under The Contracts With The Providers Of Those Programs; To Direct The Division To Establish A Medicaid Waiver Program To Be Known As The "physician-centered Medical Home Program" To Provide For Medical Homes For Medicaid Recipients; To Provide That The Division Shall Model The Program On The Community Care Of North Carolina Community-based Medical Home Program To The Greatest Extent Possible; To Specify The Minimum Components Of The Medical Home Model That Shall Be Part Of The Medical Home Program; To Direct The Division To Apply For And Seek To Obtain Any Necessary Waivers Or State Plan Amendments From The Centers For Medicare And Medicaid Services And, If Approved, Promulgate Rules Necessary To Implement The Medical Home Program; To Extend The Date Of The Repealers On This Section And A Certain Provision Of This Section; And For Related Purposes.
