Summary

An Act To Require Each School District To Adopt, By September 1, 2015, A Policy Supportive Of Community Service That Stipulates The Completion Of A Minimum Of Twenty-five Community Service Or Volunteer Hours As A Required Condition Of High School Graduation; To Provide That Such Community Service Shall Be Verified With Documentation Which Evidences A Student's Participation In Service Oriented Activities Which Meet The Guidelines Established By The Local School District; To Authorize The Local School District To Establish Additional Parameters And Requirements For Community Services; To Amend Section 37-16-7, Mississippi Code Of 1972, In Conformity Thereto; And For Related Purposes.
